Instructions for use
Please remove the insulation strip to activate the batteries. Ensure that the rubber seal is correctly placed to avoid water damage. To change from centigrade to fahrenheit please press the C/F button on the back of the thermometer (See Diagram C)
The Thermometer should now be ready for use and will pick up the room temperature and display it on the LCD.
To adjust the HOT bath water temperature alarm, press the “ON/SET” button and hold for 3 seconds, release and press “+” to change alarm temperature (See Diagram C). You can choose between 37, 38, 39 or 40°C. After the desired tempereture is set, just wait a few seconds and the temperature will be saved.
NOTE: The COOL temperature is set at 30°C and cannot be changed.
Place the thermometer in the baby’s bath and start to fill the bath with the required amount of water using cold water first. Once you have added the desired amount of cold water, slowly add hot water and stir until the temperature reached 37°C. This temperature is just right for your baby.
Your baby will feel most comfortable in the bath if the water temperature is between 37°C/98.6°F and 38°C/100.4°F. If the temperature is equal to or higher than the alarm temperature you set, the LED light above the display screen will flash red as a warning and the “Hot” symbol is displayed (See Diagram A). The screen will also display the actual temperature reading. If you see a reading of 39°C or higher DO NOT place your baby in the bath. Add cold water to bring the temperature down to 37°C/98.6°F. Over the duration of your baby’s bath time you should monitor the temperature regularly to make sure that the recommended temperature is maintained. If you notice the temperature drop below 30°C/86°F, the blue light will flash and the “Cool” symbol is displayed (See Diagram B). Add a little warm water making sure you do not pour hot water directly onto the baby. Once the bath time is over and the baby is warm, dry and safe, remove the thermometer from the water and towel dry. The thermometer screen will turn off automatically after 15 minutes.
The thermometer cannot measure the temperature outside the measuring range of 0-80°C. If the thermometer is subjected to temperatures outside of this range one of the messages in Diagram A or B will be displayed.
